When no one can find me
I’m alone in a room
not just any room
but one where my thoughts can breathe.
See the weather can get bad in my head
and I need a place
where all the words I cannot say
jump out and land somewhere
though not on someone else
because they’re not their words to bare
The walls can hold them,
because they’re walls are strong
the walls are sturdy
but most importantly
the walls don’t feel the weight of the ink as I etch my feelings out.

Poetry, inner monologue, solitude

Poetry for me is another creative outlet. It allows me to express feelings in a way that makes them easier to feel and it’s not something I’ve ever shared before – except with those closest to me. If you’ve read this far then please let me know if my writing resonates and what you think of it.
You’ve read a little piece of my soul, so let me have a little piece of your mind :))
Thank you!
